Michelle and Bruce Baumeister asked 8 years ago We met Dr. Higgins when he was working with the Baker veterinarians in Cridersville. When he started his own practice, we followed him. That was ______ years ago, and we’ve never regretted our decision. We don’t agree much on religion or politics, but he is always straight about how he would handle the issue if one of my pets was his, and he always takes the time to explain the progression of possible options in treating a chronic condition (and why we take the steps — if necessary — in a certain order). He has come to our house to put down two very old, sick dogs, and I’m very grateful for that. I have never had a complaint with any of his helpers, either. It is worth it to drive further to give my dogs and cats the best care possible.
